I love the childhood stage of an emergent communicator. Enough words to get their desires (sometimes commands) fulfilled by their caretaker. And simultaneously too little words to express all that they’re observing. In turn, the natural inquisitions of a child is unparalleled – absorbing everything, including all that they cannot convey. Little Elon not only is inquisitive, but also incredibly friendly. I love watching him wave and saying “hi” to every passerby.
The sweetest part about this family session is that they’re my next door neighbors. Little Elon is just a couple months older than baby Khang. (To think they will attend the same school one day!) It has been so fun watching Elon grow. Last year, he was only sitting up and exploring his intimate surroundings. Now, he’s running around and exclaiming “mine! mine!” as he retrieved a piece of bread to feed the ducks. Scroll all the way to the end for a bonus, very short video clip of Elon feeding the ducks. 🙂
