A star is born! Baby Astraea became the fourth child among her adoring siblings. She is SUCH a beauty and the most cooperative 10-day young newborn. I suppose having the tenacity to be born in 2020 says a lot. ? And Mommy Electra has all my admiration for handling four children with so much grace, all the while positively glowing! (For the record, I lived in my sweats for a whole month postpartum :P)
Major kudos are due to Dad as well! Patrick can be the playful dad while carrying all three big kids *and* the tender dad cradling his new baby girl. Strong winds blowing your hair in every directions? Patrick is there to discreetly hold them in position. His attentiveness and quick actions gave me a window into how two working parents can strike such a beautiful balance with kids and career.
This ideal partnership in marriage must result in positive sibling interactions? Indeed! When I was photographing just baby and parents, big sis and brothers were patiently waiting next to my camera bag. When big brother Atlas (who was the youngest kid previously) would kiss baby Astraea every time he gets close to her. And big sister Athena is a pro at holding baby. And big brother Ares could barely look at my camera because he has all eyes on his baby sister. ❤️ I predicted all this, however, since they were already showering baby with affection and kisses during our maternity session (view photos here).
Also, can I just say I’m pretty much obsessed with outdoor newborn sessions? This is a new normal I can absolutely get used to!
