A Penn State love story isn’t complete until you have a picnic on Old Main lawn. 🙂 Indeed, when designing their engagement experience, I wanted to incorporate the landmarks they hold dear to their hearts as well as the activities they enjoy doing together. Since Kelly and Zach love cooking, singing, and dancing, we made sure to incorporate all of that into our photoshoot! We also highlighted their expertise in meteorology (they’re both PhD candidates and are about to defend their dissertations). But I have to admit all these props and activities are truly secondary to the effortless love they have on display. 🙂 You can just tell when two people are completely smitten with one another, admire and respect each other, and truly inspired to be their best selves. There’s a lot of comfort knowing you’ve found your person and can be completely authentic with one another. In fact, Zach sweetly shared that one of his favorite moments with Kelly is watching her sleep peacefully. ? It was no accident that I posed Kelly to “sleep” during their picnic, friends. ?
Although we didn’t get spring blooms as I was hoping for, you could totally feel spring in Kelly’s footsteps and her infectious laughter. These two totally brought spring vibes into their surroundings! These images give me so much warmth even though it’s snowing and 30 degrees out as I’m typing these words. haha. I guess it shows true love makes every season bright and beautiful.
Kelly and Zach – I am so excited for your upcoming wedding and move to Colorado! Such special adventures and new horizons are ahead. It’s all so exciting! But I bet there is also comfort in knowing you’re facing all novelties with a trusted partner. 🙂 I mean, if you can survive graduate school together, you can do anything together! ❤️
