They claimed they love going on family walks, going mucking to catch crayfish (with some imagination perhaps), and that their life is like a rom-com. Well, if that isn’t the perfect recipe for dreamy family photos?! And when Alexis mentioned that she’d paint one of these family photos, my heart gets so full. My sister gifted me a painting of my husband and I on our wedding day, and I’ve since wanted a painting of our family. I just think it’s the most precious piece of heirloom!
I love how Milo warmed up right away and he totally believed me (at first) when I said a bunny lives in my lens. Haha. He has such great listening ears and was so patient with all our ideas and props. He eagerly read with Mom and Dad, played with the wooden toys Grandma “made” (read: gifted), and even presented flowers to his mama. What I adore most is his genuine excitement over going mucking. 🙂 He’s not afraid to get dirty and is always up for an adventure! Love, love his joy and all the candid moments we captured.
Halfway through our photoshoot, I learned that Alexis teaches art at our local elementary school, where Khai is enrolled to attend kindergarten this fall! Khai got so excited when I told him I met his new teacher. We already have an art wall and I can’t wait to add more school crafts to it. 🙂

Toward the end of the session, I took headshots for James for his work. It was then that I realized he has some serious Hugh Grant vibes! While editing these photos, I think he has a mix of McConaughey too. Either way, me thinks Alexis got herself a Hollywood star. 🙂
