Allison is heading into her senior year at State College Area High School. And she already has a mile long resume. Check out her impressive accomplishments on my scholarship page. And yes yes, she is this year’s recipient for my scholarship program!
What stood out about Allison is her strong desire to form and strengthen communities. Not only did she join many groups that aim to make a difference in the lives of others, Allison founded her own organization – MASTER seminar. This is a free, online, synchronous program for middle school students to foster interest in STEAM (STEM + Art)! The group’s mission is to encourage middle school students to explore areas of interest that are not typically covered at their school level. Allison and her team aim to improve STEAM literacy and increase student engagement with learning through this summer program.
There’s no doubt the sky’s the limit for all that Allison wants to achieve! I am so proud of who she is becoming and look forward to cheering her on as she reaches new heights!

Allison’s sister, Erica, also joined us for the photoshoot. One of their favorite activities to do together is fold paper cranes. ? And it’s a good thing Erica came along because she was the only one who knew how to kayak. And we had to take advantage of the beautiful lake and breathtaking lily pads (straight out of a Monet painting)!
