They carefully stepped into the water, ready to be adventurous, but also exercising caution. Then, a gentle splash. Brian’s face held a sheepish grin. Another splash. Both Shannon and Brian were now giggling through their laughter. There is a so much child-like wonder in this moment. And that’s when I knew baby M. couldn’t have asked (not that there’s an actual choice in the matter :P) for better parents than two academics who knew how to be silly with each other.
Shannon & Brian wanted lighthearted photos that also express their excitement as they’re about to start their new chapter. Already, you can feel the adoration and love they have for their little one. They can’t wait to create new family traditions and live life vicariously through their son’s perspective. This upcoming holiday season will feel that much more meaningful and significant.
Another funny moment during our photoshoot was when all the ducks decided to cross Talleyrand Park. I’ve photographed here countless times but have never witnessed anything like it. I can already envision Shannon and Brian leading baby M. here and let him take in the sight and feed the ducks. I truly love the community, small businesses, and local parks in Bellefonte. It’s a great town to raise a child, indeed! I can’t wait to meet and photograph baby M. ❤️
