Did you know that you can plant a willow branch and a tree will grow in its place? Willow trees are so special not only for its beauty and elegance, but also its ability to thrive in any condition and rise above any challenge. While it looks like the willow will simply sway in any direction of the wind, its strength is impeccable.
I’d like to think the strength of a family bond is similar. You learn to adapt and grow, but you’re also deeply rooted in a very strong foundation. Marilynn and Dave provide such foundation for their kids and grandkids. During their golden anniversary celebration, their children claimed they grew up with the best parents. They are blessed to have model their own successful marriages after their parents’.
50 years of love!
To honor and further cherish that love, the Spear family organized a photoshoot complete with a reading and romantic music playing in the background. They shared stories while creating new memories. They even dug up old love letters exchanged by their parents. 😛 Marilynn and Dave were touched to tears. (Yes, caught on camera!) I felt so privileged to have witnessed and been able to capture these endearing moments.
There was a lot of laughter, too. And a lot of infectious energy from the younger generation. I love that I was able to capture senior portraits for Katie, who looked absolutely beautiful, graceful, and so gentle in her confidence. I was also able to capture young, carefree love of new as well as enduring relationships. And there’s 2-years-old Cole, who perhaps made me work a little harder than the rest, but boy is he ADORABLE with striking green eyes.
This is 50 years of love, joy, and prosperity!
