Kaylen radiated an ethereal beauty in a field of gold. She has such captivating eyes paired with fine, Rapunzel-like hair that literally glows (thanks, Mr. Sun!). When I found out she plays the violin, I immediately had this vision of her playing while music sheets fly in the air. With the help of her younger brother, who was super patient with tossing music sheets, we brought this vision to life. I have to also point out that said brother graciously and voluntarily organized the music sheets once we met our goal. Couldn’t have asked for a better sibling! I love the way they interact, playful but also very sincere. I couldn’t help but smile whenever he complimented her. They are so close and so supportive of each other! And oh the stories they told me! My attention could be held captive for hours with these two. 🙂
Then, we walked to our next photo spot – the “beach”. Her eyes lit up the moment she encountered the water. She transformed. Her affinity to water is undeniable! A fitting characteristic for someone who’s interested in marine biology *and* someone who owns 7 fish tanks. 🙂 Now, her brother would argue that he unwittingly inherited the responsibility of taking care of some of these fish tanks. 😛
Kaylen – You are so, so strong. Most of us can’t say we face the challenges that you do. But you thrive. You’re radiant – both in your serene beauty and your inviting personality. I love how passionately you played the violin in between takes and how giddy you were splashing water “at” me.
