Imagine pink and white blossoms in every direction and rays of light shining through the branches; the Penn State Alumni Garden was the dreamiest spot for Andrew and Kayla’s engagement photoshoot. An oasis in the middle of campus, the garden perfectly reflected the spontaneity and love that the couple share. Even though this engagement session was their first ever photoshoot, Andrew and Kayla were complete naturals as their love for one another shone through.

Both physical therapists with busy clinical schedules, Andrew and Kayla enjoy slowing down together over a glass of wine and a good movie. While Andrew is spontaneous and loves to get outdoors, he says that Kayla is the rock that keeps him grounded even on his most stressful days.

I truly love how this couple is up for anything. A twirl? Sure thing! A dip? (Andrew teased, “So you want us to get in the pond?”) And when I saw a dreamy spot in the parking lot (yes, the parking lot!), I asked if it’s possible for them to scale the wall for me. Without missing a beat, Andrew responded, “Anything is possible”. I love their spontaneity, their carefree joy, and also the many tender moments Andrew and Kayla shared.

Back in 2021, Andrew and Kayla went on a mini vacation to upstate NY where he proposed at Chimney Bluffs State Park overlooking Lake Ontario. For their engagement session, I wanted to capture that same sense of adventure and laughter they share as a couple. The excitement of starting a new chapter together. The balance and sensibility in having found their person.

What all started with an online romance and a first date at Meyer’s Dairy has now blossomed into a beautiful relationship and I can’t wait to see them tie the knot next year!
