It was a warm fall day with visually pleasing palate of reds, oranges, and browns amidst the sound of crunching leaves underfoot. What a perfect spot for Victoria and Dan to create forever memories for their next chapter. Victoria and Dan loved Tussey Mountain in Boalsburg (a short drive from State College) as the location for their engagement photoshoot because they both enjoyed going to WingFest and they loved the colors there during the fall.
Dan met Victoria in 2016 when she started her Ph.D. program at Texas A&M. Dan was ahead of her in the same program and they had the same Ph.D. advisor. Two academics bonding over similar research interests (epic right? I thought so too 😉). When Dan asked Victoria out for just a cup of tea one evening, it ended up being a lovely date where they spent hours enjoying each other’s company.
After a long week of work, Dan and Victoria like to unwind by exploring new places to eat. While they both enjoy going on exciting adventures together, Victoria says going grocery shopping together or sitting next to each other on the couch watching TV at the end of the day are the simple things that she cherishes and holds dear to her heart.
On one of their adventures (a vacation in Minneapolis), Dan got down on one knee and asked if she wanted to continue going on new adventures together. Victoria being her usual caring self initially thought he was falling over and was concerned for his safety but later realized he was proposing. Love can indeed be effortless if you find your person who you can be authentic and natural with and these two show that perfectly. 😊
Victoria & Dan – I admire how you two cherish and find happiness in the simple things in life and I absolutely can’t wait to photograph your wedding next year. Even though this was your first photoshoot, your natural display of affection for each other made capturing these beautiful moments fun and effortless. Cheers to drinking dirty leaf water for life! 😉
