There’s something magical about maternity photography, especially when it’s set against the backdrop of the stunning Dallas Arboretum. Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing Trang and Duc as they eagerly await the arrival of their little one. This session was particularly special, as it reminded me of the beautiful transition couples experience just before becoming a family.
A Journey Through the Arboretum’s Beauty
Our session took us through some of the most picturesque spots in the Arboretum. We started at the iconic A Woman’s Garden, where the serene atmosphere perfectly complemented Trang’s radiant glow. The DeGolyer Home provided a touch of elegance, while the Poetry Garden offered a romantic setting for some of our most tender shots. One of my favorite moments was capturing Trang and Duc by White Rock Lake. The soft morning light created a dreamy atmosphere. We then made our way to the Crape Myrtle Allee, where the natural archway of trees framed the couple beautifully, symbolizing the new path they’re about to embark on together.
Candid Moments of Love
What truly made this session special were the genuine moments of affection between Trang and Duc. From sweet kisses on Trang’s belly to quiet moments of reflection, their love and excitement for their growing family shone through in every frame. These candid shots are what I live for as a photographer – capturing real emotions and connections. One particularly touching moment was when Duc whispered something funny in Trang’s ear, resulting in a burst of laughter that lit up both their faces.
