Hello! I’m Nhi and I believe this is the beginning of something good!
I'm passionate about real connections, making memories, and creating gorgeous images your family will treasure for generations! I believe that family photography is done best when families have a relationship with their photographer and fully trust them. This is how I have guaranteed and delivered incredible photography experiences to my families. When I arrive at the photoshoot, it's like an old friend showing up and not a stranger. This affects every aspect of how your photos will turn out! Keep reading to get to know me and who I am beyond the camera!
Here are a few fun facts...- My husband and I fell in love as pen pals before we met in person.
- We have two boys, Khai and Khang. Both their names mean joy. 😊
- Khai wants to be “a doctor and then a daddy who gives lots of love and kisses” when he grows up.
- I received my PhD in Developmental Psychology from Penn State.
- I love designing and decorating my home.
- My next dream vacation spot is Santorini, Greece.

Your portrait experience begins even before we meet for your session! Upon booking, you will gain access to your client portal, which includes the session guide (see next slide) with tons of tips on outfit choices, what colors look best on camera, how to coordinate the family, and so much more! Also included in the client portal is a fun questionnaire to help me get to know you and your family better in order to tailor your portrait experience to best reflect your family bond and dynamic!

On the day of your portrait session, prepare to laugh lots and have fun! I’ll take care of the rest. We will create beautiful images that represent a meaningful stage in your lives. The First Year

Most frequent questions and answers
The location of your session is up to you! You can view my recommended photo spots here. I schedule portrait sessions approximately 90 minutes before sunset during “golden hour”, when the light is dreamiest and most flattering.
Upon booking, you will be sent an information link for preparing your session. This includes a very detailed guide for choosing your outfits and other preparations to ensure that your session is amazing. I am also here to answer any questions you may have along the way.
Your images are carefully culled, backed up, and edited to ensure that they match the quality and standards of Nhi Thai Photography. This process takes 2-3 weeks. If you are needing your images sooner than 3 weeks, you have the option of placing a rush on your images for $150 ,which will have them ready one week after your session date. If you would like to add a rush to your photos, this must be discussed before booking and is subject to availability.
Absolutely! While it is recommended that you have your images professionally printed through your gallery in order to receive professionally quality prints, you are welcome to have prints made on your own through a lab of your choice.
Yes! After seeing your gallery, if you decide you want more images than your collection includes, you will have the option to upgrade to receive all images in your gallery.
Please note that the “Onederful Year” collection already comes with all images included.
A $150 nonrefundable retainer (which is applied to your total session cost) is required to secure your session date. Just let Nhi know which collection you would like to book. I’m so excited to dream up your perfect portrait experience together!
